Hacienda Montecristo has been a coffee producer estate farm since 1916. Its coffee has national and international recognition for its unique qualities, it is also certified by Rainforest Alliance, 4C, and Starbucks C.A.F.E. Practices. Coffee is cultivated in the Mayan Mountains of the municipality of Veracruz in the department of Copán, 15 kilometers from the provincial capital, Santa Rosa, in western Honduras at an altitude of 1100 to 1200 meters above sea level with a mild sub-tropical climate. Hacienda Montecristo is well known for producing coffee with balanced body, deep flavour, rich aroma and medium acidity.
Cupping notes:
The rich soil gives us a powerful coffee with round chocolate and nut flavour and a pleasant sweet aftertaste with balanced acidity.
